Our story began in 2016 with the launch of the Real Engineering YouTube channel, founded by Brian McManus. Since then, Real Engineering has grown to 5 million subscribers, known for its clear explanations of complex engineering and scientific topics and its distinctive visual style.

As the channel evolved, we recognized a growing demand for the kind of animations we were producing. That led us to create Throttle, a studio dedicated to bringing that same standard of clarity and craftsmanship to companies looking to explain their products and technologies. Years of working within the tight constraints of YouTube production taught us how to build cost-effective, impactful engineering animations without compromising on quality.
