This project introduces Sierra Space’s new line of satellites, Eclipse. The line includes three satellites designed for a wide range of missions, including Earth observation, in-space servicing, communications, and more. For this project, we animated a selection of these applications.
At the center of this project are three satellites: Horizon, Velocity, and Titan. We started with existing CAD models and converted them into suitable formats for animation. This involved some custom modeling and minor cosmetic fixes. We then added realistic materials to the models and rigged elements such as the solar panels for animation.
